THE TASTING BARN AT

Southwest Mountains Vineyards

Nestled in the foothills of the Southwest Mountains in Keswick, Virginia, our tasting room offers a welcoming place to experience the wines and beauty of the Monticello AVA. Housed in a fully restored 1903 barn, Southwest Mountains Vineyards pairs history, hospitality, and award-winning wines in an unforgettable setting.

 

Upstairs seating is available by reservation, with full table service and access to our seasonal kitchen menu. Walk-ins are welcome downstairs and on the patio, where guests can enjoy our grab-and-go food offerings—or bring along their own outside food.

Monday, Thursday & Sunday 11:00am – 5:00pm 
Friday and Saturday 11:00am – 6:00pm 

EXPERIENCES

At SMV, a variety of thoughtfully designed seating options create the perfect setting for any gathering — from fireside couches and farmhouse tables to relaxed lounge areas and our spacious outdoor deck shaded by wide umbrellas. Whether you're looking for a cozy spot to sip with friends or a comfortable table for a group, our spaces offer a range of inviting atmospheres to suit the occasion. Reservations are available for parties of up to 8 guests; for larger group inquiries, please contact smarkham@smvwines.com.

  • Vignette seating ranges from fireside couches to farm tables and relaxed seating areas. While these Some vignettes have minimum party requirements. If you have a seating preference, please include that in the notes of your reservation and we will do our best to accommodate. Reservations are for parties of up to 8 guests.

  • Enjoy table service on our beautiful deck under large umbrellas with relaxed seating. Services include wine flights, wine by the glass, bottles, and a seasonal food offering from our in-house chef. Reservations are for parties of up to 8 guests. All reservations for this experience are outdoors.

  • Enjoy table service at one of our high top tables in the upstairs area of our beautiful, renovated barn. Services available include flights, by the glass and bottle with a seasonal food offering from our in-house chef. Reservations are for parties of up to 5 guests.

BARREL ROOM TASTING

Step into the Barrel Room for a guided tasting experience led by Wine Club Director, Tyler Wagner. Located alongside our state-of-the-art production facility, guests enjoy an intimate exploration of current releases, exclusive selections, and insights into our winemaking process. This personalized tasting offers a deeper connection to SMV’s craft and vineyard story, ideal for both Wine Club members and guests seeking a more immersive experience.
